Can I start by saying I am not trying to get out of buying Birth Certificates with this.

I have been today to look at some Parish records and have found a child of my Great Grandmother buried in the same grave who I didn't know existed as they were born and died between census dates. The family only moved to Lancashire from Wales around 1900.

I am going to the local Church where marriages are listed on Marriage Certificates I have but will I be able to tell from any Christening records that the births belong to me IYKWIM.

Does anybody have any other tips on to how to find other births when you don't know they exist .. where is the confused smiley !

Thanks in advance.

Melanie

Hi Rose

It's a bit complicated but here we go ..

Found Wilfred Stanley buried in Fleetwood Cemetery in 1924.

In the same grave were Margaret Burns who died in Carmarthen but buried in Fleetwood in 1928.

Also Gladys May Burns buried 1903 aged 14 mths .. this is the one I didn't know about.

Also Percy O'hara who was Elizabeth Richards son aged 4 mths buried 1920 .. this death is shown on the headstone.

I have searched for births at the relevant times but is there any way of narrowing the possibilities as to who to order a birth certificate for.

Thanks for your advice

Melanie
