hi everyone
is there a site where i can trace dates of birth, without having to order a birth certificate. i have names, places and year of birth, but no actual date or month

Hi Alan,

Well as far as I know if they were born in England no you would have to buy the certificate to get the actual date of birth.

added!!! Sorry I should have said that you can find the year and quarter they were born but without the certificate you wouldn't know the actual date.

You may be lucky and find a baptism record,which most libraries have on fiche of the local parish area,,depends on years ?

If they died after 1969 then the death index will have the birth date.

The quarter is not terribly helpful as they may have been born in one quarter and not registerd until the next.
If the quarter is March you can't even be sure of the year as they may have been born the previous year in Dec. or even Nov. and not registered until the following Jan.
