Hi Kath..
Mrs Mary Massie was at 2 Bullens Terrace in 1911.. Laundry premises also at 242 Marsh Lane Bootle.

Percy Morris was at 3 Boswell St off Marsh Lane.. so it looks promising that they could have got together.. Percy was married in 1901, but must have been widowed..

If she was 43 in 1894 that makes her born around 1851, whatever named she was known by when she died it could be she died as late as the 1950's.

I have tried to find the death of my great grandmother without any luck.

I have found the death of her 2nd husband and obtained the cert. He was George Massie. I could find nothing for a Mary Massie in a 20 year time frame, so found a Mary Massey hoping the different spelling was caused by writing the name as it sounded. The cert arrived today, but alas, it is not my Mary.

George and Mary were married in Liverpool in 1894 when she was 43. George died in 1909 so I have trawled through the deaths for a Mary Massie from 1895 to 1930 in the Liverpool registration district, without any luck.

Maybe I have been having a "blank" moment, but would very much appreciate someone who has the time to see if I have missed it.

I have to go off line now as I have a meeting to attend so a pm would be so very much appreciated.

With thanks in advance,

kathlyn
