I am trying to find the birth of Albert Veale. So far I have sent for two birth certificates which have turned out to be the wrong ones. I really don't know what to do next. Can anyone help please?

He was one of 11 children. I have the birth certs for 9 of them, the last one being Dorothy Veale born 27.01.1895 in Broadhembury, Devon. I have tried looking at births after that date, as he was younger than Dorothy and found:Albert Edwin Veale born June 1901 5b 74 Exeter and Albert Edwin Veale born OND 1898 5b 348, these are both wrong as they do not have the same parents.

He does not appear on the 1901 census, so assume he was born after that date (I know one of the birth certs I sent for was 1898 but I was running out of options!!)

What have I missed? Any help with be appreciated.

Thanks

Shirley

You could also try these:

Name: Albert John H Veale
Year of Registration: 1904
Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec
District: Devonport
County: Devon
Volume: 5b
Page: 305 (

Name: Albert William Veale
Year of Registration: 1902
Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar
District: Clutton
County: Somerset
Volume: 5c
Page: 454 (

If you do a reference check on the father's name you won't lose all your money if it's the wrong cert.

Thanks Athena

Know that the first one is incorrect, as have sent for that already and had my refund!

Think I will give Albert William a go - William was his father's name and the name of one of his brothers, so could be a good bet.

Thanks
