divorced..........please help

Maybe she took a different name after the divorce. My sister didnt want to keep her married name, but she felt it would not be right to revert to her maiden name, so she took her fathers middle name, I think she did it the legal way, rather than just adopting it.

They divorced in 1968 approx, i don't know weather she has remarried but would think she did? trying to find her, don't know if anybody can help. Name Angela Beckley married Peter cowperthwaite oct-dec 1966, but got dicorced. Can't find her under maiden name, many thanks

Depends when you are talking about, more recent ones are under both names but generally I would look under the married name of the old partner.

This may sound a little dim, but...........when somebody gets divorced and you are trying to search for a new marriage for them would they be registered married in their maiden name or old married name of previous partner???
