A Whitesmith generally worked with metals such as tin or pewter, and applied "cold" processes rather than the "hot" processes associated with Blacksmiths.

Whitesmiths are also generally associated with the finishing of metal rather than the forging of metal..

Could somebody explain to me who or what a Whitesmith did?
