So if the below found by Margret is the one i am looking for then there should be a birth cert record somewhere???? or is this wishful thinking : -(

There's this Rhoda Ayers on BVRI but father's name is Damias instead of Nehemiah:

AYERS, Rhoda Christening
Gender: Female
Christening Date: 16 Mar 1856 Recorded in: Inkpen, Berkshire, England
Father: Damias AYERS
Mother: Susan
Source: FHL Film 1041182 Dates: 1813 - 1885

I agree, it's very confusing!
BVRI is British Vital Records Index. They're taken fron parish records like IGI. They're a set of discs that you have to purchase.

Damias, i have seen that one . But i would like to claim it (lol) but i am not good at this at all....

If its the BRVI cold i get a cert from it?

I wonder if i could Damias Ayres cert maybe he had two names and then chose to use the Nehemiah later?

Am i making this harder??

My theory:
Her father died, her mother remarried, she used her stepfather's name until she married when she used her birth name. I've seen it happen before.

Thank you for the replies.

Michael, i think the Rhoda Ayres born 1856 is my Rhoda as i have the the parents named in that listing already as Nehemiah Ayres is already in my tree. I am beginning to wonder if the Rhoda Ayres/Turner is the same person.

However i cannot find a birth for her either, nor a death.

Sorry Margaret you are right it is Rose on the cert.
But i have two of the childrens certs. On one its Rose and on the other its Rhoda both formerly Turner.one cert is from the the third child born and then the last one which is my gt.gt. grandfather.

This is confusing me.

I am having great trouble pinning this lady down. Wondered if anyone else had this lady in their tree or even maybe be able to help?

I have her marriage cert.

Rhoda Turner married Charles Stockwell in 1874 Andover, Hampshire.

I have her on all the census from after her marriage. However i cannot find her birth!
Her birth according to the census:

1881 aged 27 birth place Inkpen, Berkshire, England
1891 aged 34 birth place Andover, Hampshire, England
1901 aged 46 birth place Andover , Hampshire, England

They was in the same place for all three of these census.
From the wedding cert in 1874 her age was given as 19 yrs and her fathers name was John Turner. She was married in Andover Hampshire as well.

I cannot find her death either Rhoda Stockwell and i believe they had at least 12 children.
