I can't tell you how grateful I am for that Christine. it would have taken me a year to do that! I think I should now go down another track and see if she reverted to her maiden name of Johnstone. I cannot find anything about her husband Robert Garratt except that they married in September 1931 in Silloth Cumbria and he was given as aged 34 and his father was called Wilfred. |

Hi Sam, I think I did it wrong before! She was born about 1895 as I found her on the 1901 census and it said she was 6. She was then in Cockermouth. |

When you say 'you think', does that mean that you are guessing or have you actually located her on a census - or have her marriage cert - to confirm her age? |

I am very new to this and getting nowhere fast! Please could someone tell me how to find out when Agnes died. I think it was in the Cockermouth area of Cumbria and it may have been in the 1970's or 1980's. |
