adoption and birth family line how to do

yeah i think i have just figured how to do this, add an extra sibling on to one of the famlies using the other known name for me!! and then put in the notes that im the one and same person so basically it shows up as if there are twins but with a different surname

You could( not sure if able) make your parents a mix of both sets ( wife and husband of opposite couples) then give each a new partner ( the remaining 2 ) But there real partner..I think.
Worth a try..not sure it will work....but
That way there will be 2 couples..but in the right set...understand?
I hope

Husband 1with Wife 2 then add Husband 2 as new partner to Wife 2, then add Wife 1 to Husband 1 as new partner. That way they should be together the right way

I have an adopted person on my tree and i have put him on my tree as his birth name but in the notes i have all his adopted details....

I'm pretty sure you have to have 2 trees, you can't add 2 sets of parents.

one person with 2 sets of parents!!! i can add the adoptive family but i cant add the birth family side, what am i doing wrong? surely its been done before?
