I am looking for James Firkins brn about 1857 Birmingham. I have him in the 1871 census as 14, living with his parents in Ladywood Birmingham and his occupation, as is his Fathers, is boatman. By 1881 the Father, Joseph, is a publican with a new family. Try as I might I cannot find James.

Many thanks, but that is'nt him. His Mother, Emma, died in Jan. 1875. By April 1875 his Father had remarried and has a "different" family on the 1881 census
