Most of you will be aware of this but I came across a fantastic website called 'Curious Fox'. Its a site that allows you to post info requests and more about people and towns/villages. Well worth a look

I've had a couple of people contact me through CuriousFox just to give me info although they weren't related. It's a great site. Another good one is Lost Cousins, any contact you get is really related and not just a shot in the dark

I've been a member of Curious fox for about 3 years. I was a paying member for the first year only.

I've only ever had one match but it did connect me with distant cousins in Canada and Australia. Worth the fiver I paid then.

I joined about 5 years ago and also forgot about it - then I had a message from someone re my Horsteads - went back and paid out me fiver to be able to contact some people on there. Should really check it out again. I do find it a bit complicated to use, but may be that me being dumb

I am a paid member now for 3 years, and love this site!
I get regular emails, when someone puts a message in for Leicester!
It keeps me connected, and I love to help others in their searches!

There's also another site - this thread just reminded me - called Ancestral Villages. I assume it's still around but have not been on there for ages. It even includes London suburbs as villages so it could be worth a look.
