Yes Mary,

I found that out soon enough, phoned my friend about the website but she said she had tried it before and couldn't find her family on it.

Hi Betty

Thanks for pm :-)))))

Yes, for some of them I did have the exact year but as you know when you search on there it doesn't give parents names.......until you've paid to view it and then find out it's not the one you want! lol.

Hi Mary,

Sorry for late reply, I din't know you had put a message on the thread until now.

I know what you mean about spending a lot of money on there, I can see how easy it would be too if you don't have the exact year and even if you did there could still be several.

I didn't know about the 48hour only viewing thing either, glad you told me about that.
Well I will have a look and see if I can find anything on there for a friend of mine, its her family we are searching.

Hi Betty

Yes I've used it as all my father's family is from Ireland - I spent an absolute fortune mind!!

It's ok if you know where the family is from and the approximate years of the events you are searching for otherwise you just get so many "hits" and each one costs €5 to look at and I ended up looking at so many that weren't mine.

The other thing is to always print off any that you pay to look at because if you do need to look at it again after 48 hours you will have to pay again!!

To search Irish Births, Marriages and Death, if so what do you think of it.
