I think there is strong possibility that the census info for 1881 and 1891 with marriage to cole is correct.

The birth for Jane Hicks is correct as well.

I will request marriage certificate just to confirm - but I am confident that there will be a match.

This birth is Farringdon Wiltshire.....is this your Jane? or could this be Jane who married Thomas Cole, or could they be the same person....i notice on your post you put Farringdon Berkshire, are there 2 of them?

If you search on freeBMD for Jane Hicks born 1860 ...all districts but specify County, she comes up individually under ALL the above counties, so theres a good chance the Thomas Cole marriage is her, do you have her birth cert.?

did some searches on the Census but haven't been able to trace anything to confirm either way at present.

I don't think the death would be possible - I have no other connection with that area, and even is working as a servant, that would have been a long way to travel in those days. I would have expected her to be either in Oxfordshire/Berkshire or Wiltshire.

Theres this death that fits in age......out of area I know, but if she was a servant, she could have been working anywhere.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have Jane Hicks b1860 Thrupp, Oxfordshire to Joseph & Elizabeth Hicks.
I have her in 1861 Census, Faringdon, Berks and
1861 Census - Little Clanfield, Oxfordshire

1881 Census - Her father and rest of family living in Quidhampton, Wrougton, but no Jane.

And they I can't find her. I have looked for marriages and deaths, but have come up blank.

If anyone can find anything, that would be much appreciated.
