in general if someone dies last march/april leaving a will how soon can someone apply for the will

Hello Tinky,
If you have a Probate Office close by you can check if it made Probate. Not all wills go to probate.

If it's one of the Office's listed on their website above then, yes, it covers the whole country.

Hi Tinky,
You may well have to so it could be worth giving them a ring first. There was only one PC in the room for checking records so I was luck as no-one else was there at the time.
