Always buy the cert if it's after the 1901 census.

Check Fathers occupations and hope they are not all Ag Labs!

This hobby aint cheap.... :-(

I have got some leads on a relation i have been researching, I have found 3 possibilities and i am really not sure which possibility to work on.
The criteria i have matched is relatives name, approx year of birth and fathers name. I have matched these 3 criteria on census information and so i am at this 3 way crossroads not knowing which route to take. Do any of you have further ways of verifying connections to leads you have found? Is it just a case of spending your hard earned cash on certificates and hoping that several generations down the line, hours of work and bags of cash later you dont find out that you had chosen the wrong lead to work on?
