Hi Margaret - you could try the 'Tasmanian State Library' - they have an 'Ask a Librarian' service (on-line) .... they will search their records including electoral rolls ...they may be able to help/advise you with early BMD's. Worth a try. .....Valerie (WA)

Can anyone help, please? Is it possible to trace 19th century BMD in Tasmania? Also is it possible to get hold of copy certificates?
I have tried the Tasmanian Govt website without much success.
Any help greatly appreciated.
