deleting a relative

Hi While adding relatives to my tree i have managed to add someone twice . Does anyone no how i can delete them. Ive clicked delete relative but it keeps saying 'unable to delete relative connected to multiple relatives'.

If there are children connected to the name you want to delete then you will have to delete the children first then you can delete the name.

Hi thanks for replying. I dont know what ive done but i will try and explain
I added a christopher born 1755, i then added his partner a agnes born 1755 . Thats 2 boxes, but some how i have a child of christopher and agnes called agnes and another box joined to the first agnes. Does that make sense? I have spent ages addindg 14 children and i really dont want to start again.

Email GR explaining exactly who you want deleted, and they can do it for you without the need to delete everyone in the tree beneath them.......I had the same problem myself a while back, and must admit GR were very helpful.

Joy !
before you do anything , export your tree to your Pc,
go to your homepage and at the bottom click on the Export link.

I usually save my files as ged's.
and edit them with some tools ( use google ) Gedview is a good start.
