Missing death cert

I'm trying to find the death cert for William Hill. I have found his birth and marriage, and the death cert of his wife but can't trace his death cert. He was born 1851 and died after 1918 (I know this as he registered his wife's death). He lived in Midlothian, Scotland.

Just wondering if anyone has any idea where to look next?

Hi Mary

There is only one death showing on Scotlandspeople in Midlothian of a William Hill b. 1851 =/- 3yrs. Have you checked this one out?

Thanks for looking, Ellen, I think we ruled that one out (will check with husb).
