Sorry to bother you again but I have come across an even worse pair than before on the bmds.

Please would it be possible for some kind person to check the references for the two below, in the deaths, they are right next to each other but I am straining my eyes to try to make out if they are 5, 8 or one of each.

Any help would be really appreciated so that I can order the death certificates

Ann Motram
5a 198 Nantwich October/November/December
William Motram
5a 200 Nantwich October/November/December

Thanks very much

Marilyn

Have you tried freebmd or are these late dates?

Sorry, Looks like the freebmd transcriber cant make it out either: (use freebmd for dates up to early 20th century - its free and its easier to see)

Deaths Dec 1855
Motram Ann Nantwich 8a *

Deaths Dec 1855
Motram William Nantwich 8a *

Thanks Heather, found another William Mottram Nantwich 8a 191, same quarter, same year, on free bmds so there must be two, or possibly registered twice?? The spelling should really be with two `t`s. I didnt realise the image would be so clear on here,

I found the burial of Ann in the parish records so as that is the only one spelt Motram or Mottram, that must be it, not listed on free bmd though.

Edit: Found the death of Ann (listed as Ann not Anne) on free bmd, thanks again Heather for tip to use Free BMD

Hello,

Cheshirebmd.org.uk gives the deaths for Ann and William Motram in 1855, also for two William Mottrams. The records give the sub district of where the death happened, (which may help in finding the correct people), and a reference from which to order the certs, which I think can be done on-line.

Thanks Hilary, will have a look. Didnt think about that, though all bmds were the same on every site.
