Gas Poisoning

Thank you! I'll give those ideas a go.

I guess gas poisioning was a real hazard back in those days. I'm glad the death certificate said accidental rather than suicide, but what a shame.

It is just possible the inquest was reported on in The Times newspaper. The newspaper has just put all their archive material on line (free to view at present), so it might be worth taking a look there.

Does anyone know how I go about finding information regarding the accidental death of my Gt Grandfather from gas poisioning.

It happened in Leyton, Esex, and there was an inquest held on 19 April 1911, but I'm in America and really don't know where to start.
