Also wanted to say the reason I think it is Job/Nancey is that my Gt Grandmother is called Annie Amanda Benton Caddick (along with several of her siblings middle names) and Nancey is nee Benton.

Hi Jim

Thanks for that .. it has brought up lots of other possible caddicks. Am off to investigate. I can't wait to get back from holiday and activate my 30 day free ancestry !!

Thanks again.

Thanks Jim and Claire

I managed to sort it out just by typing it all out of here. I went back to the Richard/Mary 1841 census and had a son 'Luke' down who I couldn't find a birth for but when I went back and re-looked it is actually 'Jobe' misspelt and badly written.

This was the problem I had as I couldn't find him living with Richard and Mary in 1841 and they are living in Tipton, Staffordshire.

Thanks for you help.

Job is on the 1841 is shown as born "In county" therefore more likely to be the son of Job & Lucy

Job & Lucy also appear to have had a daughter Ann 1827, is she the Ann Caddick shown on the 1841?

I'm wondering if Job senior died & Lucy married Thomas Bannister but can't find a marriage

BUT I'm not convinced that the Job shown on the 1841 census was the Job that is on future census as born in Tipton

Job Caddick .. b1826 .. Tipton, Staffordshire

.................................................................................................
1841 Census
.................................................................................................
Thomas Bannister .. bc1806
>>Lucy Bannister .. bc1801
Ann Caddick .. bc1828
>>Job Caddick .. bc1826 .. Apprentice

IGI
..............................................................................................
Job Caddick
christened 31 DEC 1826 Saint Thomas, Dudley, Worcester
Parents: Richard and Mary

Job Caddick
christened 26 MAR 1826 Temple Street Chapel, Wolverhampton, Stafford, England
Parents: Job and Lucy

As job is shown at the bottom of the 1841 Census as an apprentice I have presumed that he is living with relatives and these aren't his parents as the first christening makes more sense location wise????

Fresh eyes appreciated.
