Marriage Cert deatils?

Sometimes there is nothing to indicate 2 previous marriages.
My great grandfather married a widow and their cert. correctly referred to her as a widow, but there was nothing to show that she was married twice previously.
It took me months to find her in earlier census and track her back, especially as her first husband turned out to be a circus performer and they'd moved all over the country.

The registrar office is local so I will contact them.

If I order a marriage certificate for someone who married three times would it give me all previous surnames and maiden name?

Any advice please

Thanks
