Sorry..I'm not at home at the mo so can't look up ancestry, but if you could find the family in 1861 census that might help..what area were they in..there are a few Charles Beaumont births at that time.

The only document I have is a marriage certificate which shows his name and his father's name (and middle name) as the same but can't find any other reference to either middle name (which is Armitage).

Find an official document, ie marriage or military record and see what it says..although I think some people just lied for the fun of it!!

Help, any suggestions as to how I can find a relative who maybe lied about his name, his father's name and his birth place (born 1852/53).
