Can anybody help with my question
i have a family member
William Housecroft b8 april 1908 i have found this on ancetry and there is 2 housecrofts william and a Clifford there page states vol 9b for both page 144 and i think 142 are these different families or could they be twins i have found thier deaths and cliffod died age o months
Hope you can understand this rambling but a bit confused

Difficult to say with certainty, twins normally have the same page number if not consective ones. The only way to be certain is to order the certificates.

I take it these are the births you are refering to.

Births Jun 1908 (>99%)
HOUSECROFT Clifford N. Bierley 9b 144
HOUSECROFT William N. Bierley 9b 142

it could be a transcribe mistake by GRO..if you intend getting the certifciate,,if its a twin birth the time of birth will be on the birth certificate,,

the could have been a problem at birth and wasnt registered till the next day or few days later,??

thank you everybody yes they are the births i was reffering to. i guess the only way to find out is to obtain the birth certs
