Henry John Chapman born London 1869 thats all I know his last child was born 1913... my key board not working so using on screen one so my replies r slow lol

Do you have any older relatives who may know or have photos of him?
What about his children's marriage certs to see if he is deceased or not.
Anyone in the family know where he is buried or likely to have a funeral card?

You've probably thought of all these but it is a needle in a haystack job!!

no janice my grandfather never spoke of family so the only info i got is from research just dont know where 2 look next

Was he alive when your grandparents got married? Do you have the cert for that?

on wedding cert he down as father got his occupation but he not signed it only got nans family signtures on it so looks like he might no of gone 2 wedding

No signature doesn't necessarily mean he wasn't there, and it doesn't say 'deceased' so I think you could use this as a starting point. What year did your grandparents get married in?

I've recently been told that the fact that it does not say Father deceased on Wediing Certificate does not mean a lot. Sorry to put a damper on things, but best you know. I've spent wasted time on relatives I thought were alive years after they had died.
