There's probably something about him in the local paper of the time. The local Record Office to the area might have access to those. Even Brighton & Hove Council might have them.

You could try contacting local undertakers - some of them have been around for years so that might work - it might be better to write to them.

If he was well-known, have you tried googling him to see if there's an obituary?

See here, it seems they will do a search for £10 plus another £2.50 for a map...

Well start with the cemeteries closest to where he lived. Doing a quick google would suggest that Brihton council look after 7 cemeteries.

Contact the cemeteries dept of the council and see if they will check their burial records. As you know when he died, it shouldn't take them long. They may charge for this though, I know ours charges £20 per look up!

This is the number for Brighton and Hove City council. Why don`t you give them a ring and ask for number for parks and cemetries, and hopefully they may be able to track down your grans ancestors grave.

Hi
No, she has never been there. ALl I know was the date that he died, his address and the fact that he was a well known liberal political supporter.

I dont know where to start trying to track it down.

Thanks for your help.

Has your gran been there before? Can she describe where she thinks it is?
