	Maggy, Don't put much faith in that name. Putting down a name on the marriage cert. is all about saving face. Out of interest, was he called "John" and deceased? That appears to be the usual M.O. Rose

Member Since: March 2003 Posts: 4,377 Send Message	I decided to send for the marriage certificate of my grandad's brother (they were both illegitimate) and what a surprise, it named his father! Hope they were'nt making it up though and it's such a common name, that I doubt if I'll get any further anyway!
