Marilyn,

Just had a look at the website - its really good - very interesting - especially the bit about different families with the same surnames being registered on the same page; and the bit about twins.

Excellent website - well worth looking at.

Regards

Rachel

Just found a brilliant website giving excellent information on exactly what is detailed on birth, marriage and death certificates. It gives in detail exactly what you will find in each column, any variations and explanations why things could be different. I found it very helpful and interesting. It also gives all the information you need to order certificates and the best place to order from i.e. GRO and how to go about it.

It is the website of John and Barbara Dixon

Just click on BMD CERTIFICATES at the top or alternatively google BIRTH, MARRIAGE OR DEATH CERTIFICATE TUTORIALS.

Take a look and see what you think
