All marriage entries that I have seen in Record Offices for around that date, ...or any after 1837, have been filmed copies of the actual register and show full information identical to that on a certificate from GRO.
As you know the actual church, you should be able to find the information you need.

Many Record Offices have facilities for you to take a copy for a small cost, ...less than £1

Hi Rallyreg

Thanks for your reply

l have the reference of the marriage church, year and groom which l was able to find on a website

lt was the actual date and witnesses l was interested in as l know for certain it is the sister of my 2xs gt grandfather as the couple are living with her father on the census's

Thanks again

Kind regards

Hi

l'm going to the records office for the first time on wednesday to look for some baptisms

l wondered if l could have a look at a 1847 marriage while there or do l have to buy the cert to see the details?
