is there a way to search a specific address on a census?

1841,1861,1871 and 1891 are on Findmypast

1881 on Ancesry

1901 on National Archives.

If doing house research then do it back to 1901 first in case the road is renamed or renumbered

Or the long way on Ancestry by looking at the Enumeration districts

Yes.......on findmypast ..although they don't have all censuses.

1901 can be searched by address on the 1901online site

1881 can be searched by address on Ancestry

Also the problem with address searched on census is that unless you have a document which is dated very near to the date the census was taken the chances are the people will not be at that address
