I've looked at old copies of the paper many times, and I think it's unlikely that there will be an obit unless the person whom died was a fairly prominent person. The paper is available at British Newspaper Library in Colindale, London, or at Nottingham Local Studies Library.

Hi

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of Obituary notices that appeared in the Nottingham Post in the 1st week of January 1948.

Only I've been told yesterday by one of my older cousins that at my Grandfather's funeral there was a very well to do lady there, who nobody knew and I'm just wondering if her name was listed in the mourners, he died on the 1/1/1948.

Its got me really intrigued!!!
