hi...ive found a birth of someone and they were born in Barton i. i presumed this was somewhere in ireland as i was told the man was classed as an "irish tinker" his name was william o'carroll....

Barton i, is the abreviation for Barton upon Irwell which is in Lancashire. Created on 1.1.1850 out of the Worsley and Chorlton districts.

The registration district covers these places:-
