Hi, i was looking for the birth record of Margaret Bate born around 1839. On the census it says that she was born in Windle, St Helens, Lancashire. I searched it on free bmd and a record came up for a margaret bate jun 1838 in prescot; would st helens records be registered as prescot?

Thanks

Steph =]

to check what area a registration district covers when you ar eon Freebmd ,you click on the district and a new page comes up and telling the county it covered and then click on "here" to find the actual coverage of the district
