Birth not recorded on 1901 census?

thanks for everyones help.....looks like I have a few things to go on....the e looks like it might have been dropped.....so will wait until birth cert turns up and go from there thanks again

Depending on when his birthday was - and using the date of the marriage to start with - he could have been born anytime between 16 July 1897 and 14 July 1899.

This also assumes that he gave the correct age when he married.

Where someone married in 1921 is not really an indictation of where they were born in 1898 ish

You may be making the mistake of thinking ages are shown accurately on the census. They can vary a lot - even with a child it would depend on when he was born, if he were born a month before the census he would appear a year older than had he been born a month after the census date. Ditto ages shown on marriage and death certs.

On marriage cert shows as agricultural labourer so probably moved about a bit where work was?

William James Clark 1898 aged 23 years on 15/7/21 as per marriage cert...states father as Charles Clark Buckinhamshire area

1901 census shows Wiiliam (aged 3 - correct age) but father John Clark? Beds/Bucks area

There doesnt appear to be another that fits

Unable to trace family on 1901 census...my grandfather was born in 1898 (traced back via his marriage cert but the father of the groom on the marriage cert seems to be different to the family I have traced....what would be the reason for a non-recording on the 1901 census?.....or differing information? any ideas...I'm in the process of applying for a birth cert for grandfather.
