The witnesses to Thomas and Matildas Marriage were i cant read it very well but i think it says William Raffel and Mary Atkinson.

have alook on the 1881 census to see if he is with his family.then you can possibly find his parents marriage.or if you are lucky, and his birth was reg, then his Birth cert ref

I am trying to find the mother of Thomas Spencer born approx 1866 in Richmond Durham. I have found his marriage certificate and his father is John Spencer. A Minor in Durham. How would I find his mother what records would tell me? Any help Welcome. Thanks Lrain

p.s He Married Matilda Carlton in Sunderland Durham on 24th April 1885. Yes I thought Richmond was Yorkshire but everything points to Durham and Im so confused. thanks
