I can't remember the names but there are websites that give you the ownership history of pubs in Surrey and Suffolk. Googling should enable you to find any websites relevant to your search.

if you know the town it may be worth looking in teh local directory of teh time. These are sometimes available on line and you can always get them in local library or book shop. You may also find a helpful GR member ho has a cppy of teh one you need and who is willing to look up for you- have a go.....

Before WW1 my grandparents owned? managed? a couple of pubs. I would like to find out more so does anyone know if there are there any organisations I can contact who may have details?
