I have found 2 possible births for whom I am looking for but it is saying 'no image' order extract at £10 each?

I never had to do this before, but it is over a year since I used the site, or is it because I am looking 1920's?

any help would be appreciated

Hi Kim,

It's the year. There is a 100 year closure on births, 75 on marriages and 50 (I think) on deaths.

Yes the site has changed.

Originally the births did only show 1906 or 1907 which you could download. This was altered and now although the dates are shown much later you can not download the images because of the 100 year closure ruling.

If you need to order the certs then go to
http://www.gro-scotland.gov.uk/

and it will explain how to order an offical extract
