Hi Jill

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of taking my son with me so couldn't really stay and investigate further. The staff were really busy too and as I couldn't stay very long, felt I couldn't meither (sp) them too much although I wish I had now:-)

I think there must have been 4 court cases:-) Two for the husband and 2 for the wife (all different years too). The only clue I have is on the second one for the husband where someone has written on it "the prisoner was indicted with others at ??? ???? 1819 and has now been brought under a bench warrant for trial"

I would love to know what they did:-) And hope to get back to the records office to find out:-) Just need to get myself organised and find out what I need to look for :-)

Ok - been to the records office today and picked up some copies of prosecutors bills for a couple of my ancestors - now I'm really excited as they are the first ones to do anything bad:-)

I found their names on A2A and so am now trying to follow the paper trail - I've got the bills - that all say they were prosecuted for felony?

Now can sks advise me where I can go next to find out more information about what they did and what the sentences were?

TIA
