they live on the other side of the world and she has tried before but not had any luck they say they will write to her but havent so i dont think she wants to try any more. i cant ask because they are not my relatives. they know about the tree but it doesnt mean anything to them. can i ask you were it says alinda is listed as being 73 as she was born in 1930 so that makes her 78 years ?
thanks linda

Linda,

Alinda is listed as being 73. That's not so old. Your daughter in law really needs to ask them questions while she still can or their history will be lost forever.

Passenger lists only go up to 1957 on Ancestry so no luck there.

hi i wonder if anyone has access to any usa records that might help me.
i am trying to put my daughter in laws family onto our tree and i am looking for info on her grandparents.
their name is sygmund moser born c1920 in germany and his wife alinda redman c1930 born in germany

Sygmund was a US prisoner of war captured in Italy. Spent four years in an America Prisoner of War camp in Illinois. When the war ended he went back to Germany, married, and put in for immigration to the US. They came to the US in l959.
Alinda was a nurse in Germany and worked as a nurses aid here in the US. When they first came here she worked for a man by the name of Potter (their sponsor) for a number of years as his house keeper to work off the sponsorship. She then went to work at St. Elizabeth’s in Lafayette, Indiana until she retired a few years ago.

they are both alive and well but my daughter in law doesnt want to bother them as they live quite a long way from her and it would be hard to ask the right questions by phone . old people somethimes get confused.

i am looking to see if there are any immigration papers or anything that will give me any idea where abouts in germany they came from or anything at all that will help
thansk
linda
