Has anyone else come across this area of Liverpool call Scotland?

Parish – Liverpool
Municipal Borough of Liverpool
Municipal Ward of Scotland
Parliamentary Borough of Liverpool
Ecclesiastical District of St Aidens

I’m looking at the 1861 census - RG 9/2657

1861 England Census > Lancashire > Liverpool > St Martin > District 52

Do you think ‘Scotland’ in the ‘Where Born’ column relates to this area of Liverpool or to bonnie Scotland?

It does say Scotland Ward on ED sheet - part of St Aidens Ecc Dist.
