Thanks for clearing up the difference in the images...never thought to check the coding, and yes I have submitted a correction. :)

I read it as 953 on both images.
FreeBMD's image is DB-10/1881M3-D-0067.tif and Ancestry's is ONS_M18814AZ-0570.
I would guess from the coding they're not the same images, even without looking at them.

Christina - I presume you submitted a correction to freeBMD.

Unfortunately the scan on FreeBMD is totally illegible in this case. It looks like it has been scratched out.

I'd always assumed that the scans of images on FreeBMD and the scans on the full index on Ancestry were copied from the same records...so why would one be very clear and easy to read and the other not so?
