Hi Sam

If you go to the website www.groireland.ie you can download the order form and post or fax it to them.

You could try a search on http://ifhf.brsgenealogy.com/index.php?&set=yes
You have to sign up but only pay a fee if you want to view. If you have both names and location you could cross reference them as you can only search for one name/location.
You will find lots of advice on this including members who offer free basic look ups, just go back a few pages on the tips board or search the topic. Hope this helps.... I am in the same boat.

Can you apply online or is it only by post?

Irish GRO will usually search a year either side of the date you give them.

Hi Sam

If you have some idea of the birth of their 1st child that would help to narrow it down a bit for you. If you order a marriage cert from GRO Roscommon and put approx year they will search at least 2/3 years either side of that date for you, if they can't find anything they will let you know and only charge €4 instead of the full amount.

Good luck

Do the Irish GRO do searches at all?
I'm wanting to find the marriage info of my great grandparents but apart from their names and area I don't have an exact date. Is there anywhere that does a search say five years on either side of a date?

My nan was born in Nov 1913 so I know they must've been married no later than that year.

Thanks
