She was my great grand aunt and that doesn't seem so distant now when I think of the hardships.

could be

Female Servant

Farm Servant

or Family Servant


but as you also see M S against male names in the same household on the 1841 census



I take it to be Female Servant and Male Servant

children could be out at work before the age of 5 ..... in the miils, on farms, or as servants.
