Hi Kevin, sometimes you have to spend the £7 to prove or disprove the record. I have an entire file of certs that are wrong, but I can't say they were wasted cos they proved me wrong, and set me on that path to find the correct ones. Depends on how much spare cash you have, but overall I reckon it has been cheaper than hubby's season ticket to a failing football club!

Hi david
No I dont have his birth cert, but am in touch with his daughters. Maybe death not certain but around that time and Watford is exact. His dob is correct also
2nd feb 1889. Will keep quizing tho you never know peoples memories quickly fade.

Thank for your reply

regards kevin

Kevin,

I wouldn't immediately discount the above without a bit more digging. Whoever registered the death might have given an incorrect dob.Who might that have been? Do you have his birth cert to verify his dob?

I wouldn't have thought there'd be many William James Easts dying in Watford (reg district) around 1973/74!

Hi
Is there anyone out there who can search Hertfordshire for a death record for a William James East. He died in hertford in 1974.
I cant seem to find records of him myself.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Kevin
