I am trying to trace a cousin of my father's who left the UK from Southampton in 1955 bound for Montreal. Can anyone offer advice on how I might go about tracing her. I know her maiden name, date and location of birth, the ship she sailed on and the date she left and unfortunately that is all any living relatives know.

The fact that she was bound for Montreal doesn't mean that's where she stayed. It's just as far inland as an ocean liner can go.
Don't know what to suggest, it's very difficult to access such recent records in Canada.
