Posted this on the General Board but someone suggested posting it here.

Google Chrom is a new web browser from google. It's still in beta at the moment but it's free to download and will happily run in addition to Internet Explorer or Firefox.

The difference being: For viewing my tree on here is it about 10x quicker!

No doubt it still needs more work but def worth keeping an eye on and superb for viewing trees on here!

I am using Chrome at the moment. It is definitely quicker for some things, but the main reason I am using it is that I have a problem with Ancestry when using Internet Explorer. When I try to close Ancestry it freezes the computer and any other websites I have open at the time. This is not happening using Chrome.

Google Chrome doesn't have an adblocker and probably never will. I would also worry about privacy aspects (I won't use gmail for the same reason).

If you want speed and no ads, Opera's quite good, but it can't handle some sites that use javascript (such as Ancestry).
