hi there,
I think that Mary is supposed to be the sister of Lousia Clapson, but if that is the case, she should be 39 or there abouts and no-one can make that jump from the age of 19, so is there anyway of finding the birth of this mary in about 1862, the mary i know about is mary burrngham birth 1842 ish.
Thanks

hi there jill, i dont have acces to ancestry, if someone can have a look for me that would be great. She was born in burringham in Lincolnshire, i have found a problem, in the 1861 she is listed as 19 and unmarried, could this be the daughter of Mary Parkin and she had her out of wedlock. She can't be 19 in 1881. Can someone have a look for me at the 1881 under the name louisa clapson Thorne and look at the relation of mary to family.
thanks folks, its really hard when you haven't got ancestry, i have to go the library.
thanks again everyone, you are a star

Frustrating - just searching for marriages in Thorne in that quarter only shows Mary - so spouse has not been added yet. You could wait until he is. Have you tried to find her in 1891 using just forename and place of birth and age?

Or, failing that, it's a question of ordering the marriage cert - but you would need to be sure of that ref.

It says that the page number is unreadable? the page number is 1060

make you wonder why people with eyes that bad bother to trancribe

I take that back:-(( just had a look at the scan the transriber had to use, and there is a line through the vol and page number
