I thought it was but put it down to boundary moves!

I notice in the 1891 his POB is Waddington Nr (transcribed as W) Clitheroe, Yorkshire. This Waddington is actually in Lancashire.

So it is a typo! Thanks ever so much for clearing that up Potty.

I have checked the image for 1871 and I am pretty sure it says 20 not 30. There is a line through the age but if you look at 3s further down the page they are different.

Hello all,

I am a puzzled individual. I have an Amos Midgley in my tree and some date confusion.
I know he was born in 1850/51 in Waddington Yorkshire, Clitheroe but have two census records which have different ages. The 1861 census shows him with family aged 10 and the 1871 census with same family aged 30!

Is it just an error or two different people?

Any clarification would be helpful. Also other children in the family have segar as a second name. Did Amos father possibly marry twice.

Grateful for any help with this
