I wonder if anyone can find the death of Robert Chicken in County Durham, probably Durham East in the 1950s? None of the surviving family can remember exactly when he died.
He was born 6th April 1881 and lived in Murton Colliery when he died. I've tried searching on Ancestry, Durham Records on line and free bmd with no success.
Thank you

Hi Maureen,
I've tried searching for Robert on 1837.com, and there seems to be no-one listed. I did find his birth- Robert-----Easinton----April/May/June----- 10s 478.

I will do some more searching and get back to you asap

Hi Maureen
I have searched from 1950 to 1970 and this is all I could find-------Robert E Chicken-----Death,
Jan/Feb/March 1961----aged 79, Romford, 5A 602.

Robert Chicken-------Death
Apr/May/June 1970------DOB----6th Oct 1897, place of death---- Liverpool
10D 1036.

Robert William Chicken-----Death---Jul/Aug/Sep/1970.--DOB------22 May 1881, Place of death---Newport. 8C 626.
I might try going backwards 10 years, incase there could be a match.
Julie :)

Hi Julie,
Thanks so much for trying. I know he was living in Murton Colliery but I don't know if he died at home or in Sunderland hospital. I remember my uncle coming to tell us but unfortunately he's dead now.
I'm sure something will turn up eventually.
