I thought the second one referred to a baby named Anne being born to a man and a woman who were servants of Mr. Fuddes? Perhaps the vicar didn't think recording the names of servants was important and thought it was sufficient to simply say which household they belonged to?

Alternative slant on the Hodgkins/Hoskins one - is it possible that Elizabeth was christened as an adult and that she was the daughter of John Hoskins and had married a Mr. Hodgkins? I have got a great-great grandmother, Mary Halsall, who married Joseph Grayson and was christened at the age of 59, being described as Mary Grayson the daughter of William Halsall and Esther Whalley.

Going through some early Christening records for St. Marys Aldermary (1550-1603) I found they contain interesting information as well as showing why we can have so much trouble finding rellie's.

e.g. 27th Dec 1573 St. Mary Aldermary. Elizabeth HODGKINS d. of John HOSKINS ?? Which one is right??

31st Mar 1602 St. Mary Aldermary. Anne d. of the man and woman, somtimes srventes wth Mr FUDDES in Basing Lane ?? Who??

24th Jun 1602 St. Mary Aldermary. Will'm s. of Mr Wm Clement, Doctor of Phisicke, in the house, because the childe was verie weake.
(Mr William Clement was a Doctor, interesting to know the job sometimes)

Of course you also get the spelling as the names sound like Ales which the nearest name I can come up with could be Alice
All the names and spellings are how they where transcribed in 1880.
